Decision on HB2 expected today

Monday, Circuit Judge Winston Kidd announced that he would extend the temporary restraining order until today, Friday July 12th and that he would rule on the matter on or before that date.  Given that an opinion hasn’t been handed down as of yet, it looks like Judge Kidd has a few more hours.  So, what will it be?

  1. Find for the State and rule that HB2 is not unconstitutionally vague;
  2. Find for the Plaintiffs, rule that HB2 is unconstitutionally vague and enter an injunction;
  3. Extend the TRO for an additional period of time?  10 days?  Until the legislature comes back into session as requested by the Plaintiffs?

We should know shortly.
