God’s Country?

Regardless of whether it is people or places, we see good and we see evil on a daily basis.  No doubt that some see more good and some see more evil, but there is plenty of good if you look for it.  Often, I have heard the expression “this is God’s Country.”  Sometimes from friends describing  far away places like the mountains of Colorado, the wilderness of Alaska or a beach on the Gulf.  This afternoon, I looked at this as I traveled out to Bolton, MS.

I don’t doubt that those places described by friends are God’s Country, but this little piece of Hinds County is God’s Country too.  Just as everything good is God’s Country.  “God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good.”  Genesis 1:31.
