Bass Pro is in trouble!

First things first…..I like Bass Pro.  For an adult that enjoys the outdoors, it is pretty close to Heaven on earth.  They have anything you could want:  duck calls, fishing poles, clothes for any season or reason, guns, ammo, candy, cooking equipment, etc.  If it relates to the outdoors they have it and have it at a decent price.  Now to the bad news.

According to a recent complaint filed by the EEOC, they also have

a pattern or practice of unlawfully failing to hire Black and Hispanic applicants for positions in its retail stores nationwide; and unlawfully retaliating against a class of employees who opposed actions by Defendant that those employees perceived to constitute unlawful employment discrimination.

And if that isn’t bad enough, it is also alleged that “Bass Pro unlawfully destroyed records relevant to whether unlawful employment practices have been or are being committed, in violation of the applicable record-keeping regulations…”  That isn’t good at all, but remember that these allegations are simply one side of the legal argument.  Bass Pro doesn’t appear to be taking the allegations lightly and has fired back a few verbal jabs of its own

H/T to Kingfish over at JacksonJambalaya for breaking the news locally.
